Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Super Matte finish and how does it feel?
The Super Matte is a precision surface treatment applied over the 6061-T6 aerospace aluminum body — velvety, non-reflective, and tactile in a way standard anodized aluminum is not. It eliminates slipping without requiring a tight grip. The deep-groove machined grooves underneath add a second layer of control. Writing or sketching pressure drops, handwriting improves, hand fatigue disappears.
What does the Super Matte Grafton feel like to write with?
Precision-balanced at 0.9oz with an 11mm diameter and Super Matte grip — the pencil sits in your hand rather than on your fingers. You apply almost no pressure to write. The velvety surface gives your fingers a natural lock point without effort.
What is the best EDC pencil for military and law enforcement?
The Super Matte Grafton is the carry choice for military, law enforcement, and first responders who need a pencil that performs under field conditions. The 6061-T6 aerospace aluminum body handles drops, heat, and daily abuse without failing. The bolt-on hex-screw clip holds to any uniform fabric without loosening. The Super Matte finish is non-reflective — no glare in tactical environments.
What refills fit the Super Matte Grafton Mechanical Pencil?
The Super Matte Grafton Mechanical comes with a .5mm lead reservoir. It can also be interchanged with a .7mm lead reservoir that we sell separately.
What is the difference between the Super Matte Grafton and the Original Grafton?
Construction, dimensions, weight, refill compatibility, and warranty are identical — both are machined from 6061-T6 aerospace aluminum at 145mm, 0.9oz, 11mm diameter with a bolt-on hex-screw clip and lifetime guarantee. The difference is the finish. The Super Matte has a velvety, non-reflective surface treatment that adds tactile grip and a subdued aesthetic. The colorways — New Oxblood, Black, OD Green, Midnight, Amber, Military — are exclusive to the Super Matte finish.
Is the Super Matte Grafton good for gifting?
It is one of the most gifted writing tools in the Grafton line. The Super Matte finish and exclusive colorways make it a distinctive, premium gift. The anodized aluminum engraves cleanly and permanently: logos, initials, or full text. Popular for corporate recognition, military service, retirement gifts, and groomsmen sets. Custom engraving available at everyman.co. Ships same business day on orders placed before 2pm EST.
Does the Super Matte Grafton have a lifetime warranty?
Yes. Built for life. Guaranteed for yours. No expiry. No registration. No fine print. If it ever fails, tell us and we'll fix it or replace it — for as long as you own it. Just contact us at info@everyman.co for warranty claims.
Does the Super Matte Grafton ship internationally?
Yes. Everyman ships worldwide via UPS or DHL Expedited, with final delivery by the local postal service. International orders may be subject to customs duties and taxes. Orders placed before 2pm EST ship same business day.
